The Length of Stay indicates the time a site visitor spends on the page before he leaves it. The higher the length of the stay, the more interesting is the content on the complete domain and often correlates the length of stay with a lower bounce rate and an increased number of pages / visitors.
A low Length of Stay, however, is not always a bad signal – on the contrary! If a search machine user finds the required information or products in a few seconds on the target page, this is a sign of quality, since the processing of the contents is obviously well done.
For advertisers and information-oriented sites, the highest possible length of stay is desirable. This can also be increased by means of internal linking. Improving the usability of a page and the correct preparation of the content, as well as a good structure of the content, can achieve the right results here.
