README Generator Skill
A Claude Skill that reads your project and drafts a README from what is really in the code, with no made-up commands or features. Gaps are listed so you know what to fill in.
What it does
Gives Claude a fixed routine for documenting a project: read the manifest, folders, scripts and config first, write only what it can verify, mark anything uncertain as a TODO and finish with a list of missing information. Secrets in config files are never printed.
Who it's for
Developers, makers and no-code builders who ship projects without documentation because starting from a blank page is tedious.
What you need
A Claude plan that supports custom Skills, and a way for Claude to read your project files (Claude Code, or Cowork with the folder selected).

- A fixed README structure that drops sections it has no facts for
- Rules against invented features, URLs and version numbers
How to use it
Upload the zip in Claude under Customize, then Skills. Open your project and say 'Write a README for this project'. Run every command the README lists, and fix anything marked TODO.
