How to use ChatGPT with GPT-4 for free

OpenAI a few weeks ago officially launched its latest language model, GPT-4, relaunching the generative AI revolution. Currently, the fourth iteration of the Generative Pre-trained Transformer is available only in trial by paying the subscription to ChatGPT Plus…or maybe not?
The latest multimodal solution offered by Sam Altman's organization is actually already available for free elsewhere. Let's see, therefore, with a quick guide on how to use ChatGPT with GPT-4 at no cost.
Use GPT-4 for free on Nat.dev
Although ChatGPT-4 is not actually accessible for free, we can test the model behind GPT-4 via other sites. One of the solutions proposed by one of the most remarkable minds in computer science is Nat.dev, available thanks to the work of Nat Friedman, former CEO of GitHub. In fact, he has developed a fantastic tool to compare various LLM models offered by multiple companies working on generative AI. Among them is also GPT-4, albeit with a limit of ten prompts per day.
To use it, go to the Nat.dev website, register with a Google account and, once logged in, change the "Model" item by selecting GPT-4; if desired, you can also change the maximum length of the text returned as output or other settings. Since there is no waiting list, you can proceed with any request at any time, until the daily limit is reached.
Discovering Ora.sh
Ora.sh is instead a web platform where you can explore GPT-4 for free without any message limit or queue, after logging in via email or Google account. Again, just open the official Ora.sh page, sign up, and that's it: from this point on, you will be granted free use of the latest OpenAI language model.
Moreover, Ora.sh has some particular features that can be accessed by clicking on the “GPT-4” option at the top right. The screen that opens on the screen proposes the use of GPT-4 base, or of alternatives focused on specific themes. For example, one can converse with an interstellar diplomat, a polyglot storyteller, or an artificial intelligence philosopher. If, on the other hand, you want to have fun, there is a mini-game in the style of "OK, the price is right!", a historic game show broadcast in Italy between 1983 and 2001.
Try it for free on Bing Chat
How can we forget about Bing Chat, the solution signed by Microsoft which, in reality, was using GPT-4 even before the announcement, albeit in a slightly limited form.
After the presentation, the Redmond company unlocked the potential of Bing with GPT-4 making it even more powerful than ChatGPT, now accessible for free. In fact, for a few weeks now it has been possible to generate images on Bing with a simple prompt, obtain the sources taken from the AI for writing the outputs, and more.
This solution requires no login: just visit the dedicated website, select the AI writing mode from the “Creative”, “Balanced” and “Precise” options, and then proceed with whatever request pops into your head.
