How I rebuilt Lagos Life game using Reverse Engineer Anything Github Repo | REA

I pointed REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) at lagoslife.app, a Lagos city life game, and asked Claude Code to build me a working alternative. I did it to learn how an app like this is put together, so treat this as educational only.

The first build was close, not perfect. The map and the messages screen came out well, but the phone screen was hidden on mobile and a few things still needed fixing. One prompt never finishes the job. You follow up with edits until it is right.

This is the loop I use now:

1. Install REA with npx rea-agents setup, restart Claude Code, then type /mcp and look for rea.
2. Paste one clear prompt: the link, and what you want built (pages, design, navigation, functionality).
3. Open the result on localhost and click every screen like a new user would.
4. Write down what is wrong and ask for one fix at a time.
5. Repeat until it works on both phone and desktop.
