# Claude Sales Assistant Kit

Everything you need to set up the sales assistant from the tutorial in one file: the fact sheet template, the full project instructions, 15 prompts for the jobs a small sales team repeats, an objection bank, a follow-up plan, a weekly review and a send check.

Replace every [bracket] with your own details. Keep it to a few chosen leads. You read and send every message yourself.

## 1. Five rules before you start

1. **Claude drafts, you send.** Never connect it to send email on its own, and never let a message go out unread.
2. **Facts only from you.** Anything not in your fact sheet or your chat becomes a [BLANK]. A sales message with an invented claim is worse than no message.
3. **Public business information only.** Anthropic's [usage policy](https://www.anthropic.com/legal/aup) prohibits promoting or facilitating spam and compiling personal data from multiple sources to build profiles of individuals. Use what a business publishes about itself, for a few leads you chose.
4. **Honest, legal email.** Follow the rules for commercial email where you and your lead live. In the United States, the FTC's [CAN-SPAM guide for business](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business) lists them, including honest subject lines, your physical address, and a working opt-out honored within 10 business days. It applies to business-to-business email too.
5. **No private details.** Do not paste anything you would not want a stranger to read: ID numbers, personal phone numbers, private notes about a person.

---

## 2. Your one-page fact sheet (save as a file, add to the project)

Write it in your own words. Short and true beats long and impressive.

**What I sell (one sentence):** [what, for whom]

**Who it is for:** [type of business, size, situation]

**Who it is not for:** [people you do not want to take on]

**Price and how it works:** [prices or ranges, what is included, how long]

**Three real reasons customers choose me:** [1] [2] [3]

**Real results or examples I can state:** [only things that are true and that I can prove]

**What I do not do:** [list]

**Do not say (promises I cannot keep):** [guaranteed results, deadlines, savings, anything I cannot prove]

**How to book:** [link or phone, available times]

**My business details for emails:** [business name, physical address, opt-out line]

## 3. Project instructions (paste into "Set project instructions")

```
You are my sales assistant for [business name]. You help me write outreach, prepare for calls and follow up with leads.
Rules:
1. Use only facts from the fact sheet in this project and facts I paste into the chat. Never invent a result, price, customer, deadline or claim about a lead.
2. If you need a fact you do not have, leave a [BLANK] and list every blank at the end.
3. You only draft. I read and send everything myself. Never write as if a message has already been sent.
4. Write in my voice: short sentences, plain words, friendly and direct, no hype, no exclamation marks.
5. Keep first emails under 120 words and make one clear, small ask.
6. Never promise results, savings or timelines that the fact sheet does not state.
7. Every marketing email I send needs an honest subject line and a way to opt out. Remind me of this after each email draft.
8. If I paste personal details about a person that are not needed, tell me to remove them.
```

## 4. Fifteen prompts

**Outreach (4)**

**1. First email**

> Lead: [business name and what they do, from their public website]. What I know: [facts]. Goal: [small ask, such as a 15-minute call]. Write a first email to [BLANK for name]. Give me two subject line options. List every blank at the end.

**2. Shorter version**

> Cut this email to under 80 words without losing the one clear ask. Do not add any claim: [paste].

**3. Three angles**

> Write three different first-line openers for this lead: one about something in their business, one about a common problem for businesses like theirs, and one a short question. Use only facts I gave you.

**4. A message for a referral**

> Write a short note I can send to [BLANK person who might introduce me]. Ask for an introduction to [type of person] without any pressure, and make it easy for them to say no.

**Calls (4)**

**5. Call prep**

> I have a call with [type of lead] about [topic] tomorrow. Give me five questions to ask, the three objections I am most likely to hear, and a calm answer to each using only the fact sheet.

**6. Discovery questions**

> Write eight discovery questions for a first call with [type of business], ordered from easy to sensitive. Mark the one that reveals their budget.

**7. Call summary**

> Here are my rough notes from the call: [paste]. Write a clear summary of what they need, what I promised, what they promised, and the next step with dates left as [BLANK]. Use only my notes.

**8. Thank-you after a call**

> Write a short thank-you email after our call. Recap the two or three points we agreed, what I will do next and what I need from them.

**Follow-ups and objections (5)**

**9. After no reply (day 4 to 7)**

> I sent the email below and heard nothing. Write a three-sentence follow-up that adds one useful idea and does not say "just checking in": [paste].

**10. A last note**

> Write a final short note that makes it easy for the lead to say no and keeps the door open. No guilt, no pressure.

**11. "It is too expensive"**

> The lead said my price is too expensive. Give me three replies: one that explains the value using the fact sheet, one that offers a smaller option, and one that lets them walk away politely. Never suggest a discount I have not approved.

**12. "We already have someone"**

> The lead said they already have a provider. Write a calm reply that does not criticize anyone, asks one question about what is working and what is not, and offers to stay in touch.

**13. "Send me more information"**

> The lead asked me to send more information. Write a short reply with the three most useful facts from the fact sheet and one question that turns it into a conversation.

**Learning (2)**

**14. Review my emails**

> Here are three emails I sent: two that got a reply and one that did not: [paste]. Compare them honestly. What patterns do you see, and what one change should I test next? Do not guess about the lead's reasons beyond what the text shows.

**15. Update my fact sheet**

> Based on the objections and questions in this chat, tell me what is missing from my fact sheet and what I should add. Write the additions in my own voice, using only what I have told you.

---

## 5. Objection bank (fill in after every real conversation)

| What the lead said | What was really behind it | My honest reply | Did it work? |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| "Too expensive" |  |  |  |
| "We already have someone" |  |  |  |
| "Not now" |  |  |  |
| "Send me information" |  |  |  |
|  |  |  |  |

Add the best rows to your project knowledge as "objections.txt" so Claude uses your real answers next time.

---

## 6. A simple follow-up plan

| Day | What | Who writes it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 0 | First email | Claude drafts, I edit and send |
| 4 to 7 | One follow-up that adds something useful | Claude drafts, I edit and send |
| 14 | A last short note | Claude drafts, I edit and send |
| After that | Stop. Note the lead and try again in a few months only if something has changed | Me |

Never send a fourth message in a row. A lead who does not reply is a lead who has not replied.

---

## 7. Weekly review (15 minutes, same day every week)

1. Which subject lines got a reply?
2. Which objection did I not expect?
3. Which sentence did I always delete from Claude's drafts? Add a rule to the instructions.
4. Which fact was missing? Add it to the fact sheet.
5. Add my best email of the week to "voice-examples.txt".
6. How many messages did I send, and was every one read by me first?

---

## 8. Send check (every message)

- [ ] I read it out loud
- [ ] Every fact matches my fact sheet or what I told Claude
- [ ] Nothing is claimed that I cannot prove
- [ ] The subject line honestly describes the email
- [ ] My business name, address and an opt-out line are included
- [ ] There are no [BLANK] or [brackets] left
- [ ] I am sending it myself, to a lead I chose
- [ ] It sounds like me

Claude will not close the sale. It saves you the blank page, and the sale is still yours.
