2 weeks ago I was bored out of my mind, scrolling my phone doing absolutely nothing productive. Decided to make that idle time work for me instead of just burning data for fun.
Signed up on a couple of "get paid to watch" apps and left them running while I did other things: laundry, cooking, waiting for buses, pretending to listen in meetings. No editing, no writing, no camera, nothing. Just watch and collect. My most advanced skill involved was tapping "play."
Here's what I'm using, straight links, no long story:
- InboxDollars: Watch short clips, ads or news and they pay you directly. They even give you $5 free just for signing up. Basically getting paid to exist for 5 minutes. Link: https://www.inboxdollars.com
- MyPoints: Watch sponsored videos, earn points. Slow and steady, like a snail with a savings account. Link: https://www.mypoints.com
- Swagbucks Daily Trivia (used to be called Swagbucks Live, same app, new name): Play live trivia and win cash/gift cards. Not videos exactly, but it pays for your time the same way, and it's the one time being a know-it-all actually pays off. Link: https://www.swagbucksdailytrivia.com
This is not get-rich-quick, more like turning dead time into small alerts instead of nothing. $9 in 2 weeks for a phone I would've wasted on nothing anyway. Won't be quitting my job, but it beats staring at the ceiling.
Anybody else using apps like this? What are you using, and how much has it paid you so far?
